 Gomammon barely escapes the grueling tortures of the Digimon Emperor. Luckily, Joe and the new Digidestined come to his aid in the nick of time.

 The new Digidestined decide it's time for a picnic. After their battles, it's about time they got to relax a little. Mimi is back from America and decides to join them.
Mimi and Yolei end up getting separated from their friends during the picnic and come face to face with a control tower and two new evil Digimon. And none of their friends can find them.

 The battle against the Digimon Emperor gets tougher. Kari and Gatomon end up getting separated from their friends.
Davis and T.K. must learn to work together to save her. They run into their new enemy....Andromon, who used to be one of their greatest allies.
How can they fight against a friend?
And what will Davis do when he finds out that Patamon can digivolve into Angemon? And that Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon? It's going to get a lot tougher for him to win Kari's heart.

 The Digidestined are watching a news report about Ken Ichijouji, a boy genius who excels in everything he does.
Davis looks up to Ken and is excited to realize that his school and Ken's school are facing each other in their next soccer tournament. Ken doesn't show up when the game begins, and Davis' confidence helps his school get the edge during the game.
Ken's last-minute appearance spoils Davis' hopeful victory as he easily proves to be a better soccer player than Davis. Davis manages to get one good shot though that Ken did not expect.
Furious that a lesser person was able to score even a minor victory. Ken decides to get revenge on Davis. Realizing that Davis and his friends are the same ones who have spoiled his plans in the Digital World, Ken plans a special trap designed to humiliate Davis.
He captures Davis and his friends and gives Davis a choice. His life or the lives of his friends.
