 Kari has recurring dreams of a dark ocean and voices calling for help. She finds herself being drawn into the dark ocean and can't free herself.
Kari finds a group of Digimon who have been enslaved by the Digimon Emperor and unable to serve their true, mysterious ruler.
None of the other Digidestined or Gatomon can find Kari. But T.K. won't give up and he's sworn to protect Kari no matter what.
Who are these mysterious Digimon? Who is their true ruler? And what role will Kari play in all of this?

They meet Mimi and Michael, a Digidestined from America. A chance encounter with Digitomemon and dark spiral threaten to ruin the day. But Mimi helps Yolei learn the meaning of sincerity, and a new Digimon appears.....Shurimon.

Cody manages to find Joe, but has to make a tough decision in order to get his help. Joe helps Cody understand what it means to be reliable, and this awareness helps Cody discover the newest Digimon, Submarimon.
