 All of the Digidestined meet up at the TV station. They battle Myotismon and free the hostages. The battle is not going to well though. Myotismon sees Gatomon and Kari and decides to get rid of them, but Wizardmon blocks the lethal blast and dies.
Wizardmon's sacrifice renews Kari and Gatomon's resolve and Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon. Angewomon summons all of the Digimon's powers to destroy Myotismon.

 Myotismon has been defeated, but the mysterious fog is still there. Izzy receives an e-mail from Gennai, informing him of a prophecy that has not yet been fulfilled.
Myotismon is still alive, but he's stronger than ever. He has become VenomMyotismon, surpassing an Ultimat level to become a Mega. Even MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon are unable to stop him.
What is the prophecy and can the Digidestined use it to somehow stop VenomMyotismon?

 Realizing the meaning of the prophecy, Tai and Matt are able to help their Digimon reach their true potential, giving birth to WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon.
The two Mega Digimon launch a ferocious assault on VenomMyotismon. Combining all of their powers along with their Digivices, the Digidestined are finally able to defeat VenomMyotismon once and for all.
They do not have much time to enjoy their victory though. The Digital World begins to merge with the Real World even faster than before, and the Digidestined realize they must once again return to the Digital World to save it for the last time.
It's not an easy decision for them, but all 8 children willingly choose to return to the Digital World, realizing they may never be able to return.

 The Digidestined return to a Digital World they don't recognize. It's a cold and dark world, and they are instantly transported into a gigantic arena where they meet their latest enemies, the Dark Masters.
These 4 Mega Digimon have more power than all of their old enemies combined. Within a matter of minutes all of the Digimon are defeated.
It's only through the sacrifice of Chuumon and Pixiemon that the Digidestined are able to run away, to try and find a way to beat opponents who have unimaginable powers.
